Potenahalli Village, situated at a distance of 65 kms from Bangalore has a population of about 4,000 people with about 2,000 Muslims & equal number of non-Muslim inhabitants.

Being an economically backward village, the availability of Good & affordable education was absent - adding to the illiteracy & poverty in this region.

With the objective to create an ecosystem which imparts a quality education system at an affordable cost and contributes to the economic well-being of Potenahalli and the surrounding villages, our founding members in 2001 registered the “Jafaria Education and Welfare Trust” to establish ‘Zainabiya National School‘.

Our School’s vision is to impart quality education with values to children irrespective of caste, creed, & gender.

Under the management of the Trust, the School started functioning from the academic year 2001-2002 and has been a Non-Profit Initiative, funded by our esteemed Donors & Trustees.
